Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands – January 26, 2026 — More than 1,500 walkers, runners, and supporters came together on Saturday, January 25, for the annual Cayman National Stride Against Cancer, the flagship fundraising event of the Cayman Islands Cancer Society (CICS). The event took place simultaneously at Seven Mile Public Beach and Rum Point in North Side, bringing communities together from across the island in a powerful show of unity and support.

Cayman National proudly served as the title sponsor reaffirming its ongoing dedication to community health and wellness. “The commitment and generosity shown by this year’s Cayman National Stride Against Cancer participants and fellow sponsors is truly remarkable,” said Karen Ebanks, Vice President Marketing & Communications at Cayman National. “From half-marathoners to 5-10K participants, every walker and runner took on a meaningful challenge, rising early and showing up with purpose. Their commitment demonstrates a deep dedication to a cause that touches so many in our community, and the funds they raised will help create lasting impact. We are proud to serve as title sponsor for the third consecutive year and to continue showing up for our people.”

“This event continues to be a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when our community comes together for a shared cause,” said Elna Bush, Volunteer Coordinator at the Cayman Islands Cancer Society. “We are deeply grateful to Cayman National, our sponsors, volunteers, and every Strider who helped make this year’s event such a success.”

Funds raised through the event will directly support several essential programmes run by CICS, including financial aid for cancer patients, wellness initiatives, and free cancer screening voucher programmes, helping to reduce barriers to care and improve outcomes for individuals and families across the Cayman Islands.

This event is on track to become the largest ever single fundraiser for CICS, with a target of $125,000 well within reach as dozens of Stride-related donations continue to trickle in. The Cayman Islands Cancer Society extends its sincere thanks to all sponsors, volunteers, and participants who contributed to another impactful year of the Cayman National Stride Against Cancer.
