Cayman National Announces the Closure of the Edward Street Customer Service Centre

Cayman National Bank advises that with the lease for our Edward Street Customer Service Centre (CSC) expiring this year and the CSC no longer serving our strategic objectives, we have decided not to renew the lease and to close the Edward Street CSC effective 28 March 2014. All 13 staff will be redeployed to our Cayman National Bank CSC network to manage the redistribution of client business traffic. Cayman National Bank President, Ormond A. Williams states “In this difficult economic climate where businesses are reducing their staff complement, we have taken the approach to retain, retrain and redeploy our existing staff which is a true testament of the Cayman National ethos and commitment to the socio-economic development of our community”.

This strategy enables us to better utilize our resources and positions us to be even more effective at delivering enhanced value to our clients and key stakeholders. “Every successful business assesses its strategy from time to time and makes decisions considered to be in the best interest of key stakeholders”, commented Mr Williams. “We have carefully reviewed our network and concluded that a consolidation strategy delivers meaningful benefits to clients and shareholders and as such we have decided to take this approach which we know will further enhance our service quality.”

We encourage our clients to visit any of our five Customer Service Centres and 17 ATMs on Grand Cayman (CNB also operates two CSC’s and two ATMs in Cayman Brac and Little Cayman). Additionally, clients have access to their accounts using our VISA and MasterCard branded Debit and Credit Cards and user-friendly Online Banking solutions.
