Cayman National donates to the Cayman Islands Student Association (CISA)

4 April 2007

Cayman National donated $2000 to the Cayman Islands Student Association (CISA). The donation will go towards assisting the group with a project to become an "ambassador for education." CISA, a non-profit organization comprised of local and overseas students at the tertiary education level as well as university graduates, aims to assist students both locally and abroad by providing financial support.

This year however, the Association has pledged to become an ambassador for education by providing assistance to The Alternative Education Centre Transition Unit in George Town.

According to CISA’s President, Melissa Whittaker, the unit will receive assistance to purchase books, enabling the establishment of its first library.

"In its ongoing support of youth and educational initiatives, Cayman National is pleased to encourage the efforts of the Cayman Islands Student Association (CISA), and wish them success in their endeavours," said Claudia Welds, Senior Executive of Corporate Communications.
