How secure are Cayman National Online Banking transactions?
Security starts with the browser. To protect transactions,
only log-ins from a browser that supports the highest level of encryption
(128-bit) is accepted. Encryption is implemented by the Secure Socket
Layer (SSL) protocol, which shows up as a padlock symbol on the
taskbar. This prevents transactions from being read by unauthorized
parties over the Internet.
If you have a PC, you should use Microsoft Internet
Explorer 6.0 or Netscape Navigator 4.06 (or higher versions) to
access your accounts.
If you have a Mac, use Microsoft Internet Explorer
6.0 (or higher) or Netscape Navigator 4.5 (or higher).
Do I keep my access code and password confidential?
You are responsible for keeping your passwords and
login identification confidential, and not provide them to any person.
You must protect your account access information at all times. Should
this information be compromised, it is your responsibility to call
or email the Customer Support Centre immediately at (345) 949-8300.
Is account information kept private when I do business over the Internet?
Yes, many layers of security protect your account information. In addition, your
password prevents unauthorised users from accessing your account.
How secure is my account information with Cayman National?
Cayman National has developed a comprehensive security system and operates in an
environment specially developed for hosting Internet banking. All data transmissions relating to your
account are monitored by security software and trained staff. Any data passing through the system
examined for certain characteristics, and user name applications, Internet Protocol (IP)
addresses and many other characteristics are identified to provide additional security.
