Fraud Protection
Cayman National Fraud Unit
- The Fraud Unit in the Card Services Department monitors
cardholder's spending patterns and may contact cardholder's to verify
if a transaction is legitimate for those that appear unusual or
suspicious.
- When the fraud officers have exhausted their resources to make contact, a
temporary block is placed on the card for your protection until you can be reached.
- We recommend that if you are traveling or will be making purchases outside of
your normal spending pattern, contact a Fraud Officer or our Customer Support
Department ahead of time to notify us of your plans.
- In terms of opening hours, the Fraud Unit
is open Monday to Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm and on Saturdays,
Sundays and Holidays from 9:00am-2:00pm, Eastern time.
- A Fraud Officer can be contacted from 5pm-10pm daily to assist
with lost/stolen cards and other fraud related matters by calling
(345) 926 2253. After 10pm you can report your lost/stolen cards
to MasterCard Global Services at (636) 722 7111 or Visa Global
Services at (410) 581 9994.
- In addition to our account monitoring effects, we
encourage you to monitor your accounts online on a regular basis, keep
contact information current, keep items with personal information in a safe place, and
never provide bank account or credit card details to anyone who contacts you by phone
or email.
